How It All Began
From there, I dove into the world of beauty, training as an aesthetic therapist and immersing myself in skin health.
But makeup itself? I rediscovered that passion unexpectedly.
Growing up surrounded by film, theatre, and storytelling, my parents were performers, so beauty, creativity, and emotion were always part of my life. Years later, while working in a nursing home, I saw firsthand the power of makeup, how a simple touch of beauty could bring confidence, joy, and light back to someone’s life and naturally found my place behind the scenes, creating calm and beauty for others.
It reminded me of what beauty really means. Not perfection, but connection, softness, care, and self love.
That’s when I knew bridal artistry was my calling.

I’m originally from Amsterdam, came to Ireland at 18 as au pair and I’ve been here ever since.
We have four girls, one happens to have Down Syndrome, check out the blog post for more. They are the best part of me.
In my childhood I traveled the summers in wonderly wagons with my performing parents
I’m a lover of music, poetry, soft words, and meaningful moments.

My wedding
Our relationship began quickly, we knew each other a while but our first date, first kiss, and moving in together all happened in one day. It just felt like home. 🤍
Our wedding was simple and intimate: a registry office ceremony and a relaxed celebration in our garden with a BBQ and marquees. No fuss, no big trends.
Looking back, there are things I’d do differently… a dress I truly loved, a smaller guest list of the people who mattered most, and a videographer to capture the moments I missed. A migraine took me away from part of the day, and it taught me something I’ve carried into my work ever since:
Your wedding day should feel calm, intentional, and deeply you because you only get to live those moments once.
And that’s why I care so much about creating soft, peaceful, meaningful mornings for my brides today.
We married after 13 years together, on a quiet Friday the 13th at 3:30, surrounded by our girls.

One of my core values and something I’ve passed to my daughters: be kind, even when others aren’t. It costs nothing and means everything. There’s enough room for everyone, no competition, no disrespect. Support one another and rise together.

I can only say great things about Lotte, from the trial all the way through to the wedding day, where she was professional yet friendly and just a lovely person who made you feel comfortable. She came out to my family home in Cork and was so lovely and calming on both days. She gave some great skin care advice to myself, my mother, and my bridesmaids and made us all look so beautiful on my special day. It was a relief to know that was one thing I didn’t have to worry about and that we were in great hands on my wedding day! We found Lotte so great that my sister has also chosen to use Lotte for her wedding next month in Kerry!
